The Awards Ceremony honoring best children’s media will take place on February 14th in Miami

LOS ANGELES, CA. November 30, 2022 — Wonkybot Studios’ flagship scripted podcast series Tara Tremendous has received a nomination for Best Podcast in the 2023 Kidscreen Awards, which honors the best children’s media over the past year. Chosen from over 550 entries from around the world, Tara Tremendous is among the first to be nominated in the new podcast category.

“We’re thrilled and honored to be recognized by our peers in the industry,” said Wonkybot CEO and Tara Tremendous creator/showrunner Stewart St John. “Kidscreen has done an incredible job of bringing attention to the work being done in the kids and family podcast space, so we were elated when they announced this new category as part of their prestigious awards ceremony. And even more excited to be part of it. We couldn’t be prouder!”

“Congratulations to our amazing cast and crew who helped bring Tara Tremendous to life,” said Todd Fisher, Wonkybot co-founder and Art Director. “Tara Tremendous season four is one of the most thrilling, complex and compelling seasons we’ve ever produced, with nearly seven hours of non-stop, adrenalin-filled story, excitement and adventure.”

The fourth season of Tara Tremendous also introduced St John’s ’Tremendous Universe’, the first-ever shared audio universe of characters featuring cross-over storylines and characters a la the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Actress Mariana Harrison leads the cast as 16-year-old Tara Callahan, aka Tara Tremendous, a girl who has the ability to summon the powers of every superhero on Earth — and beyond. Tara’s besties at Power University are voiced by Maddie Rowe as Chloe Greene/‘Elemental Heart’ and Josiah Mustalesk as Seth Reynolds/‘Remix’; Campbell Ella voices mean girl Priscilla Ashcroft the Sorceress, with Mckenzie Harms as her sidekick Felicity Valkunberg/‘Multiply’. Other cast members include Michael Myracle as Tara’s self-centered aunt Lucinda DuPont, Josh Brandon as the alien Ja Na, Chris McCoy as Emperor Jn’Dyn, Jordan Briggs as Master Machine, and Cameron Hernandez as Attamis WaRu, aka Tremendous Boy.

The series also features guest star voices including Sarah Douglas (Superman), Linda Gray (Dallas), Deborah Henderson (A Place To Call Home) and Terence Crawford.
